Born in Hammersmith and growing up in rural Lancashire, Will’s connection to the sea is not an obvious one. After working in the UK Parliament and as a lobbyist, he learned to sail as a mechanism to work and travel extensively.
Since 2013 he has worked as a captain across Europe, the Caribbean, and the US. Specialising in quintessentially British Oyster Yachts, he now supports owners of this luxury marque on a freelance basis.
Alongside sailing, will provides political insight to the marine sector and writes. He has contributed to the UK’s major yachting magazine titles and is currently Sailing Editor of Yachting Monthly.
He spends what little time is left discovering the places he ends up. Here you can read about some of his experiences.
