English Logbooks is a living experiment in building a small creative manufacturing business a little differently, fuelled by master craftspeople. Sometimes in sheds, but never factories.
We’ve become a dependable supplier to adventurers all over the world by bringing together several traditional bookbinding crafts, counting both industry and individuals as loyal customers who love the books we make.
Clients include circumnavigators, superyachts, military aviators and Everest summiteers. All choose to put pen to paper in a book that they know will outlast them and stand up to the rigours of a big adventure.
Whilst making books is a business, it’s also a personal experiment in making something analogue in a digital age. I am passionate about the power of buying less but better, and about building a slow growing company that does things right the first time.
